Under the approval of Chinese Government, China (Yantai)APEC Trade Investment &
Exhibition Center was established in 1996. It is engaged in the organizing and actualization of international economic & trade activities, such as organizing economic and trade activities as well as other economic and technology exchange activities in China held by international organizations, like the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC); attending the economic and trade fairs, expositions and exhibitions; dealing with the other missions given by the Municipal Government.

As the executive committee, this center has successfully organized the Second APEC International Trade Exhibition in 1997, the Second APEC Small/Medium Enterprises Technology Exchange and Fair in 1998, the Second APEC Investment Mart in 2001 and four Fruit and Vegetable Expositions from 1999-2002 respectively.
